  • Put on Jesus Christ.⁣ Put on His likeness, the way He thinks and behaves, so then you are able to discover the treasures of heaven and godly confirmations along your journey today.⁣ ⁣ The mind can only receive what it has been trained to understand. So as you seek Jesus, searching for Him in the scriptures you are also conforming to His image developing the life of the Son of God in you⁣ ⁣ The old you, the sin nature is dead and it is no longer your slave master. Dwell no longer to satisfying the urges of the flesh, but meditate on the truths of the Scripture, renewing your mind with the power of God’s Word. ⁣ ⁣ Right now, my flesh though dead feels hungry, craving old sinful habits, I must be vigilant and change my appetite repeatedly through scripture reading, fasting, prayer etc. Whenever, my flesh craves, then, this becomes a good opportunity to change my taste buds and to see my life through God’s eyes, instead of focusing on what fulfilling my cravings. ⁣ ⁣ This season fight the urges to return to your old ways, in the strength of the Holy Spirit.   • We have to come to the truth that Jesus died for our sins, so we do not have to pay for them. Guilt and shame do not add additional payment rather they are emotional weights. ⁣ ⁣ These sins have been crucified and the debt paid by the death of Jesus Christ. It is a done deal. We receive forgiveness when we confess our transgressions. Thus, we receive healing and cleansing from our sins as we walk in the light of Jesus. ⁣ ⁣ The light of Jesus means purification, repentance, and honesty before God. ⁣ ⁣ Know this my friends, condemnation creates feelings of guilt, remorse, and shame look at our parents, Adam and Eve where their unconfessed sin drove them to hide from God. But confessed sin drives us into the light of Jesus Christ.   • Dear Gracious Lord and Heavenly Father:⁣ ⁣ Tonight, we are less than two hours away before the new year begins and my heart is heavy and my mind is uneasy. There is so much in 2020 that was left unsaid, there are closed doors covered by regrets, and millions of people experienced pain and suffering that outweighed the good. ⁣ ⁣ As I am growing up, there is so much pain I never knew I had or that I never wanted to carry. There are so many parts of me and my life that fell away, and I know life will never be the same. ⁣ ⁣ So, Lord, I know I can't change the past and I know life is unfair, and not everything can be perfect. But I know my future rests in your good and capable hands. I know, Lord you will use my pain to make me, build me, transform me in the image you have for me. ⁣ ⁣ For "...we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." (Romans 3:3-4) ⁣ ⁣ My troubles, my circumstances, though I suffer in them; they will not overcome me because You, O Lord are with me.
